Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.
We've joined together to raise money for charity. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal.
H2H, short for Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, was created in 2009 by a group of ILA teachers in HCMC who wanted to plan a big cycling trip and link it with local charities. The group rode from Hanoi to HCMC, a distance of over 2,100km, in 27 days while raising money for organizations that work with underprivileged children in Vietnam. Since 2009, H2H has collectively raised nearly $140,000 USD to support several different charities that work with children located in cities throughout the whole of Vietnam.
H2H continues to run because of volunteer riders year after year and relies largely on the kindness of others for logistical support. Each rider is entirely responsible for the cost of their trip; including buying a bike, flight, accommodation, food, kit, insurance, etc. Nearly 100% of the proceeds raised goes entirely to the charities we're supporting.
In April, 2014 H2H is embarking on its fifth annual journey with a highly motivated and enthusiastic team of 20 riders who all come from across the globe. We are proud to be working directly with Saigon Children's Charity this year. SCC is a non-profit organization based in Ho Chi Minh City and their mission is to enable disadvantaged children in Vietnam to reach their full potential through receiving a quality education relevant to their needs. Please read more here: www.SaigonChildren.com.
As well as supporting the SCC, H2H aims to help four other organizations; The Children's Initiative (www.ChildrensInitiative.org), ILA Community Network (www.facebook.com/ILA.CommunityNetwork), KOTO Saigon (www.KOTO.com.au), and Live and Give (www.LiveAndGive.eu)
Please make a donation to one of our riders today! A little bit goes a long way in a country where the avearage annual income is $150 USD / month. The children will forever be grateful!
