On September 15th 2012 Team GoBenny completed London's Great River Race on a gloriously warm and sunny day.
We completed the 21 miles from Docklands to Richmond in a four-oar boat. 14-year-old Benny Knight, who has SMA, steered us the whole way and nailed every bend like a pro.
We hired our boat for the event and each team member paid their entry and hire costs, so every penny we raise via JustGiving will go to the SMA Trust.
It's not too late to sponsor us!
The SMA Trust’s objective remains constant: to be active and progressive in the search for a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Methods to halt and/or alleviate the disease are also sought in order to treat both children and adults with SMA to make their lives, and the lives of their families, more fulfilling
