Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The above named are participating in Maggies Monster Bike and Hike in memory of Elspeth Brown. They wil be assisted by a support team of Amy Scott, Louise McCann, Roddy Wood and Elaine Petrie.

Elspeth, was the wife of team member Steve Brown, until her untimely death on 1st April 2011 from breast cancer.Throughout her illness she made use of the facilities at Maggies Centre in Dundee and was full of praise for the help and support she received from there.

Many of the team have taken part in this challenge before but for 6 of the team it is a first time. For 2 it will be their 7th time. Over the years Elspeth could always be found giving her full hearted support to the many fund raising events that have been held.

This year, for obvious reasons, it has a special significance and all are determined to make it from Fort William to Inverness at all costs.

This challenge entails a 31.5 mile cycle followed by a 41.2 mile walk to be completed in 24 hours and the team is already training hard.
