We provide expert, specialist support to women & children fleeing domestic abuse

Story

Back in 2010, blogger Bangs and a Bun put together a team of 20 girls to run the Paris Half Marathon in March 2011. Well, they did it and raised over £7000 for Refuge in the process. Now it's time for a new challenge!

This time, determined to help women find their inner super hero through the power of running (while raising money for women who need it most), Bangs has put together another team of awesome ladies to run another half marathon, Run to the Beat on September 25th.

This new Team Bangs on the Run consists of 13 women (one for every mile) from all over the country, aged 19-34, from different walks of life, of different running abilities but with two common goals - to better themselves through running and raise money for Refuge.

So please join us on this journey as we train hard, push ourselves, learn, grow and do our best to support the women of Refuge the best way we can. It's their strength and courage that keeps us going when those 13 miles are trying their best to take us down.

Viva la Running!

P.S Many of the girls are doing other races along the way. Bangs herself will also be doing the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon on October 9th and the San Francisco Women's Marathon on October 16th. Please show your support by donating whatever pennies you can.

A MASSIVE THANK YOU FROM ALL ON TEAM BANGS ON THE RUN!
