<p>Team Badger is walking in memory of David Jenkins, the original and best badger. &nbsp;</p> <p>We are sure that Dad would prefer us to have many gin and tonics, or eat some cake in his memory, but unfortunately, Macmillan does not offer these as fundraising options. &nbsp;Instead, we will be dragging ourselves across 26 miles and eating cake at the end. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Dad fought against a rare and incurable cancer for two years. &nbsp;Throughout his illness, Maria, his Macmillan nurse, was always available to both him and us to talk to. &nbsp;She was the only person who would ask 'How are you?' and genuinely want to know the answer. She visited Dad frequently, and we relied on her for her support, knowledge and advice.
