We train rural health workers to provide emergency dental care

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

In October 2008, the staff at Schulke UK Ltd made a pledge to Bridge2Aid that over the next 18 months, we will hold many events in order to raise funds to help those who are less fortunate in Mwanza, Tanzania.

Bridge2Aid ( www.bridge2aid.org ) is a registered charity, changing lives of the disabled and people affected by leprosy who live at the margins of society.  Their Community Development programme improves the daily lives of these people, giving them back dignity, a safe place to live, education for their children and a long term hope for the future.

B2A is restoring smiles in Tanzania, where safe dental care is unavailable to the majority of the population, who can suffer in pain for weeks, months and even years.

In May 2010 we will be visiting the village of Bukumbi for 2 weeks.  During this time, we will be working with the children and helping to restore the living quarters of the local residents.  Our aim is to raise a minimum of £3000 per person.  Schulke & Mayr will be contributing half of this cost per person, therefore leaving more for the charity itself.

Please help us to help the people of Bukumbi by donating below. Our first planned event is a tandem skydive in June 2009.

To keep up to date on future events, please contact Julie, who will be more than happy to help.

THANK YOU
