Update - We did it! 420km in total from London to Salcombe over two days. On day two, Charlie, Larry, Ash and I covered 281km from Winchester to Salcombe and climbed over 3800m. To put that into context it is more than the three highest mountains in the UK combined!
The site will remain open for donations and so if you were waiting to see if we could finish what we started then now's your chance!
*** If you would like to donate to one charity in particular, please click on each of the two links below and make sure you are giving to either Bone Cancer Research or the Winchester Hospice. We cannot distinguish the two in the team member names to make it clearer. If you have no preference then please donate to the smaller of the two totals.***
**Although the sponsorship links are in my name, please be assured that any donations are going towards the entire team.**
The reason we did all this is because on Sunday 10th April, Hugh Freeland, passed away. He was a best friend to many, including me, and beloved younger brother to Charlie (and four other siblings). He battled bone cancer for two years but it eventually spread to his spine and lungs and there was nothing more that could be done. He spent his final few weeks being cared for brilliantly by Winchester Hospice. He was 45 years old and leaves behind his wife, Rosie, two small boys, Rory (5) and Rafferty (1), and many family and friends who will always miss him.
Please dig deep, this one is very close to all our hearts.
Thank you.
Jon / Swannie.
