Story
As hikers who live all across Scotland, we wanted to do our part for charities whilst on lockdown!
General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income.
We hope to raise as much money for Cancer Support Scotland: a charity which is dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of those affected by cancer across Scotland, providing free holistic care and support that is never restricted by type or by region.
The 2.6 Challenge is a new event where you (and anyone else in your house!) can take part in an activity of your choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and if you can, make a donation.
Cancer Support Scotland have thought up lots of fun ways you can get involved; skipping for 2.6 minutes, 26 burpees or setting a 2.6 mile obstacle course in your garden.
Our team decided to take on a range of challenges from running to yoga to cartwheels to 'sit ups with benefits'!
We would be grateful for any support - and even better if you want to do your own 2.6 challenge and share this link for donations!
Many thanks,
Claire, Jamie, Debbie, Megan, Ross, Debs and Grace x
