Thanks for taking the time to visit Team Wolf's JustGiving page.
On September 11th this year, Diana and Andrew aka 'Team Wolf' will be participating in the National Autistic Society's Victory for Autism bike ride from Woking to Portsmouth. It will be 60 challenging miles of ups and downs, pedals, puffing and sweat (hopefully without the blood and tears!)... but it will all be in aid of a fantastically good cause.
The National Autistic Society is the leading UK charity for people with autism and their families. They provide information, support and pioneering services, and campaign for a better world for people with autism.
Autism is much more common than most people think. There are over half a million people in the UK with the condition – that’s around 1 in 100. Together with their families they make up over two million people whose lives are touched by autism every single day.
Our link with condition is Diana's gorgeous niece Ciara who is on the autistic spectrum. We hope that by raising money for NAS we're championing a charity which will be there to support her and her family as she grows up. The fact is that while autism is incurable, the right support at the right time can make an enormous difference to people's lives.
We are all too aware there are simply thousands of wonderful charities which are all very deserving of our hard earned cash, but I I can assure you NAS is definitely one of them. If you could spare a few pounds to sponsor us we would be absolutely delighted.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Anyway, wish us luck. We're training hard and hope to do you all proud! Wolfie will be documenting the event and so check for photos and videos later to see the proof of the pudding!
And thanks again for your generosity.
Diana and Andrew, Team Wolf
