On 27 May 2012 local superhero, Super Pollo did the Sheffield Half Marathon for the Children's Hospital Charity. It was his final run in disguise. The story does not end there, because Team Super Pollo is still running races.
Joining him on his mission are super amigos Monica Da Costa, Natalia Concha, Erkland Xhaja, Alan Fransman, Andy Cooper, Lyndon Bridges, Kate Knox, Rodrigo Paredes, Alex Barber and Tony Dente.
On Sunday 9 December Team Super Pollo did the Amy's Retreat Santa 5k. It was our eighth and final race of the year. Thank you for your donations and thank you in advance for any future donations. Your cash is going to a great cause.
On 7 October we held a fabulous fundraising event at the award winning La Mama restaurant. The night was a celebration of Latin culture with traditional Chilean food and live music.
On 2 September Super Pollo and Erkland Xhaja did the Great Yorkshire Run. It was our seventh race for the charity, bringing the team's total mileage to 91k.
On 26 June Super Pollo carried the Olympic Torch through Warmsworth. You can find out more about his nomination on the London 2012 website.
On 1 July Super Pollo took part in the Run in the Park 10k. On 20 May Super Pollo, Kate Knox, Andy Cooper and Alan Fransman did the Towpath and Trail 10k. On 6 May Super Pollo, Monica Da Costa, Erkland Xhaja and Alan Fransman did the Holymoorside 10k. On 22 April Super Pollo, Kate Knox, Andy Cooper and Erkland Xhaja did the Lord Mayor's 10k. On 24 March Super Pollo and Andy Cooper did the Rother Valley 10k. We started our effort with the Dronfield 10k on 11 March.
