Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 3rd Sept myself and a few friends are taking part in a 100mile cycle ride in order to raise money for Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

Jack was born in 2014 with a rare condition called 'Aperts Syndrome' - a congenital disorder characterised by malformations of the skull, face, hands and feet. due to selective cell death not occurring In embryology the skin, and bone, between the fingers and toes fuses.

Unlike most normal children jack has many challenges ahead of him so far Jack has spent several weeks of his life at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool and has undergone 8 life changing surgeries.

This April Jack faces his biggest challenge a 13hr operation which involved removing the top part of the skull exposing the brain the bones were then broken and carefully remodelled to give the brain room to grow normally. And then hand surgery later in the year.

Jack is our inspiration this year sam and myself have set ourselves a challenge this year by doing the Manchester 100. I'm going to do a 100mile bike ride for Alder Hey Childrens hospital.

Let the battle of 2017 commence you will not break us we will win 💪🏻👊🏼
