We fund research and support services to help all those affected by ataxia

Story

As you may know, Tartan Red is undertaking a tour of the football grounds of Great Britain. Supporters nationwide do this on a regular basis but Tartan suffers from Friedreich's Ataxia - a genetic disease that has confined him to a wheelchair since he was 16. It is therefore difficult for Tartan to get to the corner shop never mind a busy football ground many miles away - but this is what he is planning to do on a regular basis throughout the 2005-06 season. Overcoming adverse weather, dodgy public transport and rival fans along the way.

Subsequently, we should all dig deep and get behind Tartan and his bid to raise money to fund research into this particularly cruel condition.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor Tartan: Ataxia UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor Tartan now and don't forget to keep upto date with his travels by logging onto his website at: http://tartanredontour.blogspot.com

Many thanks for your support.
