Story
Assalamu Alaikum (Peace be with you) people
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I can't believe that I am going to walk 10 miles in one go, but the cause is definitely worth it.
For those of you who know me, you will understand why a cancer charity means so much to me... not only do they do some much needed work but it's a cause very close to my heart. In 1999 my mother died of cancer, and while it was not breast cancer itself, one should remember that cancer of any kind is a threat to everyone. As was evidenced by my grandfather being recently diagnosed with cancer as well.
As a Muslim I believe that every disease has a cure, and while we do not yet have the cure for cancer, it is our duty as Muslims to help and support those who suffer from this disease. One way to help is to give support to those who are in a better position than us to help sufferers of this disease.
Each year more than 250,000 people are diagnosed with cancer, over 16% of these cases are breast cancer; it is the commonest cancer in Britain.
It is therefore a just cause to help plus remember I deserve to be sponsored - I am after all walking 10 miles!!!
So, please, please, PLEASE dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Breast Cancer Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
Wasalam!
