Story
Multiple Sclerosis is a degenerative neurological disease that affects over 100,000 people in the UK.
Centres like the MS Centre in Chester help provide people like my girlfriend with the advice, support and therapies that they need to help them lead a better life. It also helps provide a central social focus for all sufferers of MS and ensures people don't feel isolated with the condition.
There are a range of therapies available as well as the HBC, such as tai-chi, yoga, physiotherapy, reflexology .. the list goes on, if you'd like to know more about the centre visit http://www.mssupport.co.uk/ or follow them on Twitter http://twitter.com/#!/mschester or like then on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/ms.support.centre.
They've also recently linked up with the local branch of the Parkinsons Disease Society and their members are also able to participate in the therapies that the centre offers.
To help support the centre I'm doing this sponsored walk - The Chester Charity Walk 2012 in association with the Chester Business Club (organisers). It's a six mile walk in and around Chester, I'll be talking our border collie (pictured) on the walk too, it'll be good exercise for us both.
