Can you imagine not having any access to clean water? Water is an essential element of our daily lives. We use water for hydration, cleaning and nutrition. Daily we use hundreds of litres of water for cleaning hands, taking showers, cooking food, rinsing dishes, etc. Water is everywhere. In everything we eat and drink.
We take for granted the abundant, immediate and almost infinite availability of WATER. We trust that is clean and safe and use plenty of it. However, in other parts of the world the reality is very different.
 

A billion people on the planet don’t have any access to clean drinking water. Dirty water is killing more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Children are especially vulnerable, as their bodies aren't strong enough to fight diarrhea, dysentery and other illnesses.
 

María V. in USA, Erick in Germany and Rafael A in Mérida are organizing events to support this cause, building our first water well in Africa.

Pablo and his friends in Netherlands are organizing parties and giving up their birthday presents for fundraising a water well in Africa. 

In September, Germán cycled from London to Land's End, the most western part of the UK in a 310 miles journey to raise funds for building water wells in Africa.

100% of your donation will go directly to a water project: £1,300 will build a freshwater well in a village and provide up to 250 people with clean drinking water. This second project will contruct the Elephant Pump which is made without machinery, and therefore less costly.

In 18 months, you will be able to see the exact geographical position of the well and pictures of it!!! For this purpose, We are supporting Pump Aid, a field partner of Charity:Water.

Puedes imaginarte no tener ningún acceso a agua potable? El agua es un elemento esencial en nuestras vidas. Usamos el agua para hidratacion, limpieza y nutrición. Diariamente usamos cientos de litros de agua para lavarnos las manos, tomar duchas, cocinar, lavar platos, etc. El agua está en todas partes, en todo lo que comemos y bebemos. Damos por sentado la abundante, inmediata y casi infinita disponibilidad del AGUA. Sin embargo, en otras partes del mundo la realidad es muy diferente.

Un billon de personas en el planeta no tienen ningún acceso a agua limpia y potable. El agua sucia mata a mas personas en el mundo que todas las formas de violencia, incluyendo la guerra. Los niños son las más vulnerables, ya que sus cuerpos no son lo suficientemente fuertes para combatir la diarrea, disentería y otras enfermedades.

Pablo y sus amigos en Holanda han organizado fiestas y donado sus regalos para la recaudacion de fondos. Maria V. en Estado Unidos y otras personas están apoyando activamente esta causa, para lograr la contrucción de un pozo de agua en Africa.

En septiembre de 2010, Germán recorrió 500 Kms en bicicleta desde Londres a Land's End (ver video), la parte mas oeste de Gran Bretaña, para recolectar fondos para la construcción del pozo.

100% de tu donaciones van directamente para la construcción del pozo de agua, $2000 construirán agua potable en una comunidad, y proveerá a mas de 250 personas con agua potable por 20 años. Este segundo pozo construirá una Elephant Pump, el cual es construido sin maquinaria y por ello menos costoso.

En 18 meses podrás ver exactamente la posicion geografica y fotos del pozo de agua !!! Por esta razón estamos apoyando a Pump Aid, un aliado de campo de Charity: Water en Africa.
