Story
Why should you give to this charity?
1 in 3 people suffer from Cancer, and it's not discriminate.
The money you donate could save the life of someone you love, or even your own.
In 2009 I was diagnosed with a form of Leukaemia, I wasn't ill, in pain or sick. I just found a lump, and that changed my life forever.
I was told that I would start a two year treatment plan, involving chemotherapy and subsequent bone marrow transplant. Oh, and by the way, we give you a 30% chance of surviving. I later found out that had it not been caught when it had, I would have been dead, within 3 months!
I don't need your sympathy, I'm one of the lucky ones, some of my fellow patients, including my brother, weren't so lucky.
In September the six of us will pedal from Selsey in West Sussex to London, then onto Paris, waiting to meet us, will be my Bone Marrow Donor, who I will meet for the first time. This is the person who saved my life!
She did an amazing thing, you could too. For information on becoming a donor, take a look at http://www.anthonynolan.org
Please donate to prevent more becoming the unlucky ones.
Thank You
Steve
