Story
It is customary for each intake of probationary student officers to arrange a charity event to raise money for a charity of their choosing. This is not compulsory but is embraced by most Student Officer Intakes as a way to go out into the community that they are preparing to ultimately Police.
This year we have chosen the GSPCA as our charity of choice.
On Good Friday (18th of April 2014), we will be doing a half-island walk from Pleinmont to town around the West Coast (about 17 miles), while wearing animal onesies!
We would love to have some company on the day, please see the Guernsey Police website for approximate times we will arrive at checkpoints and the route we will be taking - each checkpoint is roughly 2 miles apart and we would love your support.. Feel free to bring a pooch or two!
Our Civil Protection Colleagues will be at each check point wearing Purple GSPCA bibs and with GSPCA buckets if you would rather make a kind donation on the day of the walk.
Anything you can spare will be greatly appreciated.. Thank you!
