Story
40 marathons in 40 days
Principally to raise money for Wooden Spoon, the children's charity of rugby.
If you have visited us at www.jogtole.co.uk you'll know the story.
A few of us were at HoJo's on the St Peter Port waterfront on a warm August evening. We'd eaten well, the company was pleasant, the conversation light hearted ... and then we had another little glass of Chardonnay!!
We have a great team of helpers and supporters putting this together. http://jogtole.co.uk/who.aspx There will be weekly updates from some from next week ... I think.
The route is fairly awesome. http://jogtole.co.uk/the-route.aspx When we were in Scotland in November we drove the first 11 legs ... did someone say "less than 1% of the UK population in something like 25% of the UK land mass!!
And we believe we have a great cause to invest in. http://jogtole.co.uk/charities.aspx In the 10 years Spoon has been active in Guernsey we have raised in excess of £200k and that cash has been invested in bricks and mortar projects that make a difference to kids' lives.
So join us on the journey why don't you. http://jogtole.co.uk/join-us.aspx I'd be really pleased to have your company if you felt like joining us on our great adventure. You can walk or run with us, cycle or roller blade if you prefer, come alone or in groups. But you must promise to arrive smiling, happy in the knowledge that, with your help we'll raise a little cash along the way.
You will understand that every brass farthing raised helps Spoon stir a few smiles more on the faces of youngsters less well off than ourselves.
Thank you for your kind support.
As aye
Stuart
