On June 1st 2008, I am taking part in Race For Life, a 5km (3 mile) run around the City of London.  I have decided to dedicate this run to my beautiful cat Stormie, who is currently battling lymphoma; and to my grandfather and grandmother, both of whom lived with cancer during their lifetimes; and of course, to all those affected by this awful illness.

Although it is just a short run, I am just a beginner runner and I want to take this opportunity to honour those precious to me by raising some funds for Jane's Appeal - the charity established by Jane Tomlinson to raise funds for cancer care, support and research, acute paediatric care, children's charities and children's hospices.
