Ka & Daves Skydive!!!
Hi all, thank you for visiting this page
Im not keen on heights and flying isn't a favourite past-time of mine! So why are we doing a skydive? Well that bit is easy - its all for STEWART.
Theres why ....... We'd clubbed together to treat my brother Dave to a tandem skydive experience for his 30th Birthday. Unknown to me, Stu had also decided that I might like to jump out of a plane for my Birthday too!!! Stu was also to join us on our adventure, until the day that our lives changed forever..................
On Wednesday 18th June 2008 Stewart Gardner, my new hubby, intelligent, cheeky and loving best mate passed away suddenly whilst we holidayed with our friends in France. Stus coroner report showed that he died from cardiac causes that noone had previously known about. The reasons I would like donations to go to CRY is to highlight and support the work that they do. Especially with regards to screening and hopefully prevention of such situations happening to others. CRY also support those who have lost young loved ones with cardiac problems and have been good support for me.
Stu loved an adventure and to try new experiences. Together, he managed to get me rally driving, white water rafting, going on mad rides at Alton towers, snorkelling in Oz (when I hate fish) and horseriding!! We had so many more fun and exciting times (too many to mention), but Stu certainly did love life and lived it to the max. I just wish we'd had longer? Although this is gonna be a big challenge for me, Im doing this for Stu and to say thank you for my Birthday pressie!!!!!!!
Im hoping that Stu maybe amongst the clouds watching us on Monday 25th August (Bank Hols) and you are invited too! Its at Dunkeswell Airfield, Dunkeswell, Devon EX14 4LG from 1pm.
As CRY is not one of the biggest/ well known charities for heart conditions, it is always welcome to donations. Dave and I would appreciate it if you could sponsor our jump and a very worthwhile cause.
Thank you so much
