Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page

Below is why I took up the challenge but to let you know I completed it in 2 hours 52 minutes and 2 seconds.

Sunday August 2 will see me compete in the London Triathlon - swimming 1.5k, then a 40k bike ride around the capital before a 10k run just to finish it off.

It is my first triathlon and the challenge for me is to simply complete it!

After being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis a few days after my 24th birthday, I did not think doing anything like this would be possible.

But  after finding the right balance of medication, I have been able to carry on with life pretty much as normal over the last year or two.

Now 28, I figured time is running out to complete such a big challenge!!! So 2009 is the time.

Intense training started in January and by August, I hope to be able to complete the job in hand and more importantly, raise plenty of money for Nottingham-based Wish Upon A Star charity, to help make the wishes of sick children come true.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: When You Wish Upon A Star gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

It is all for a good cause so if you wish to sponsor me and help change the lives of children with life threatening and in some cases, terminal illnesses, then please sponsor me.

Thanks for your support

Stevie
