Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is my way of giving something back to Macmillan for helping my wife through cancer and with your help we can, this is my solo cycle challenge:-

For over 30 years Scarborough Yacht Club has organised the "North Sea Yacht Race" from Scarborough to Ijmuiden in the Netherlands, this year the yachts leave Scarborough on the 27th June at 10 am.

My challenge is to race the yachts to a "Top Gear" style race by cycle and raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. I intend to set off the same time as the yachts, cycle 50 miles to Hull, take the ferry to Zeebrugge, and from there cycle 150 miles to Ijmuiden. The distance is the same for both yachts and bike.

We will all carry a satellite tracking device so that you can watch our progress in real time at www.syc.org.uk
