Hospice in the Weald provides compassionate, individualised, holistic and supportive care for all patients, and those important to them, in West Kent and East Sussex. As a local charity not part of the NHS we need to raise £9m each year to ensure our services can continue.

Story

August 31, 1972 - April 28, 2008

This page has been set up in memory Steve Gadd - a kind, thoughtful, intelligent man, a loving husband to Tracey, and caring father to Ben and Abbie.

Steve and Tracey have shown immeasurable strength since his diagnosis of terminal cancer.  They attained a courage that helped them accept the prognosis and to plan for as dignified a passing as possible.  Through this desperately difficult time they also made provisions for helping their young children remember their Dad as they grow up.

Steve and Tracey would like to express their enormous gratitude to the Hospice In The Weald, who provided practical, medical and psychological help throughout this period.  As you may imagine, the value of the hospice at times like these is unquestionable.

Please help the hospice continue its invaluable work.  Many of you have already donated generously through other pages, and you can be assured your money is making a difference.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Hospice in the Weald will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Please donate generously.

Many thanks for your support.
