Thanks for stopping by...
As many of you know I've been lucky enough to get a place in the London Marathon (almost the hardest aspect of the thing ;-) this year to run for the charity UK Youth. I'm not sure about you, but I was really fortunate to grow up in a very loving and supportive home. Not everyone is that lucky, and UK Youth do an amazing job of supporting all young people in the UK to try and reach their true potential.
This year UK Youth is 100 years old and they are using their centenary to
promote a positive message about young people and to demonstrate that
we value them. Clearly for UK Youth to support young people, then they need our support as well.
Anything which you can contribute will be greatly appreciated, a few 'pieces of gold' (in whatever currency ;-) will help to make a difference. I'm training for 12 weeks, perhaps you could donate the cost of a cup of coffee for each week I'm training...?
When I started with my training I was hoping to get round in under 3.5 hours, but I've been sick a couple of times this year, so things haven't gone quite to plan, so am currently aiming for a time of around 4 - 4.5 hours... Only a week to go before the marathon and I'm a mix of excited and worried...!
Thanks again for anything which you can contribute. I'll let you all know how I get on...
Cheers
Steve
