Story
Hi everyone!
On November 12th Guinness World Records Day around the globe I will be attempting to break three world records in one day for Hope House, a hospice in Oswestry, Shropshire for terminally ill children.
Last year on Records Day I raised over £1600 for this cause performing 1502 squats standing on a fitness ball in one hour beating the previous mark of 1035. This record is featured in the 2010 Guinness Book of World Records. I enjoyed the day tremendously and found the children inspirational with a great passion for life. I train Personal Safety and find helping people extremely fulfilling.
This year I am attempting to raise the bar with the aforementioned record and will be trying to improve my world record for squats on a fitness ball in one minute which currently stands at 57. The third record attempt will be for tricep dips in one hour. In April 2009 I improved the previous world record by 842 repetitions and hope to beat my existing mark of 2116.
The Hospice requires £3.5 million> annually and only receives one months funding from the government. I am excited about making the day entertaining for the beautiful children, their parents and the staff who work tirelessly to maintain and improve the facilities and quality of service for every child.
Have a great day,
Stephen Buttler
