Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever, Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudices. .
26.2 MILES On the 12th of August I've registered to undertake and hopefully raise significant funds , in "THE PEAK DISTRICT TREK 26 " , (26.2 Miles ) Charity Event.
I'm doing this in memory of PFA (Professional Footballers Association) members plus all of our families & friends who have passed away through this dreadful condition or who are currently living with it.
POIGNANT Names for me:
JEFF ASTLE - WBA FC & ENGLAND , Jeff presented me with one of my first Football Trophies when I was a youngster.
ERNIE MOSS - An absolute Legend here in Chesterfield. A record goal scorer for the Football Club and a colleague of mine in our 1985 4th Division Championship winning team.
STEVE SMITH - My old Team Captain and room mate at Huddersfield Town FC .
For those who don't know me or don't have a clue who I am please Google -

This will hopefully give you a good indication who would REALLY welcome your support in my quest to raise significant funds in order to make a difference for this Charity.
When considering your donation contribution PLEASE take the following Poignant statement below into Account, I'm sure that will resonate with a lot of us lucky enough to have played professional football for a living over the decades.
" BUT THERE FOR THE GRACE OF GOD GO I "
Thank you Kindly in Anticipation for your help and support,
Steve
