Story
Congratulations to MWF, Mega Scaffold & Flowstar who are the winners of the three hampers, thank you for your continued support and to everyone who entered the 2021 Christmas raffle!
Support the Guide Dogs 90 Appeal and help make a real change to the lives of people living with sight loss. The UK’s first guide dog partnership qualified in October 1931. Since then, Guide Dogs has helped transform the lives of thousands of blind and partially sighted people, through a range of services.
Steam Plant Engineering Ltd began fund raising in October 2019
by doing a sponsored run, cake sales, glass charm sale and a chocolate hamper raffle! Thanks to all the kind donations and support from friends, family, employees, customers and suppliers we have managed to raise £1580.00 towards
our 5K target. So, a massive thank you to everyone!
Sadly, due to Covid we have not managed to dedicate as much time
as we would have liked this past year, but were having a last push to hopefully edge us closer to our target and support the 90 appeal.
We have 3 beautiful hampers up for grabs, so for your chance to
win one please donate on our just giving page! Tickets are £5.00 each, please
make sure you enter your name and the company you work for if relevant. Or you
can email HR@steamplant.net
to let us know you have donated and your details.
We will draw the winners on Friday 3rd December 2021
Emma Newcombe, Commercial Director at Steam Plant Engineering and her husband have been dedicating their time to board and train guide dogs in conjunction with the Guide Dogs Birmingham Community Team for almost two years now, and during that time have contributed to the successful placement of a number of dogs, who have changed the lives of individuals suffering with sight loss.
Emma says: “It’s such a rewarding thing to be involved in. We’re lucky to still have contact with one of the dogs we boarded and his owner and so we can see first-hand what a valuable contribution we’re making in helping people gain their independence and fulfil their ambitions. She continues: The management team at Steam Plant have been so supportive and everyone is genuinely interested in how our dogs are getting on”.
