South London Amnesty are organising a night of comedy and dancing at the Bedford in Balham on Saturday 16th July.
We are raising money for Amnesty International as well as raising awareness of the plight of Burmese comedian Zarganar who was sentenced in 2008 to 35 years in jail for criticising the response of the military junta while collecting money for the victims of Cyclone Nargis.
Location: Upstairs in the Ballroom of the Bedford (not to be confused with the more expensive comedy night downstairs)
Doors open at 7.30pm with food available.
Comedy starts at 9pm.
Dancing from 11pm till 2am.
DJ Retro Electro on the decks (well, the iPod).
Tickets are exchanged for donations. With a suggested amount of £10 per person (all proceeds go to Amnesty International). Tickets must be arranged IN ADVANCE from this page.
When donating, please say how many people will be coming and bring along your donation confirmation email as proof on the night.
PLEASE GIVE YOUR FULL NAME IN THE DONATION FIELD - we will be using the donation list as our attendance list on the night.
Your email recepiet will be your ticket for the night.
While donating for your ticket you can also sponsor a song for the party playlist. Just add a pound per song to your donation and list the song you want in your donation message.
Wannabe sponsors/highrollers/gluttons for punishment can also buy themselves a 'bespoke joke' for £50, which will be given out and presented to you on the night.
