I would like to thank everyone who has supported our 'home from home' appeal. We have now reached our £5 million target. With your support, SSAFA Norton House near the Defence Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court has been providing much needed accommodation for visiting family members since February 2008. We are now working quickly towards the opening of the second home close to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham.
With the support of our kind donors, the two homes will enable families to spend time with their loved ones whilst they are undergoing recovery and treatment. Many have been seriously injured whilst serving on operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
If you would like to make a donation to support our work, please go to www.justgiving.com/ssafa/donate. The donation you make will go towards our Central Funds. The two 'homes from home' will each receive about £150,000 annually from this Fund to help with the running costs.
Many thanks for your support.
