We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

Please note that due to an ongoing injury I have had to change the event I am participating in. As you can see from the title I am now entered into the BUPA London 10k.

I hope this does not affect you wishing to help raise funds for this wonderful cause.

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you are aware Mum sadly passed away last year 2012, due to complications alongside her dementia. She is, it goes without saying, greatly missed, by both me and my family, Stuart, my brother, and all our extended families, and friends.

This is my little event in memory of Mum, raising funds for alzheimer's, in the hope, that eventually, they might find a cure, and the suffering will stop.

So, with all that in mind I, in my infinite wisdom, and one of my less lucid moments, have decided to run the Silverstone Half marathon; I say run, it will appear to the more trained eye to be more akin to a trudge than a run, but I will get round.

I started running in mid July, and with the help of a good friend am working my way up in distance, slowly but surely.
