Welcome! Thanks for popping by... I'd like to invite you to come and learn to make one of these fun little fellas - and help raise some cash for a great cause. Just donate here, leave your full name, and you have yourself a place at the workshop. Simple.

First up, a bit about me...
I'm Janet. I love making things.
A couple of years ago I made my first sock monkey, and, when friends saw it and wanted to make them, I invited them round to learn. Some of them claimed they couldn't even sew on a button - but after a couple of hours, and several biscuits and cups of tea, left with their own sock monkeys. I was hooked. We've been getting together to sew ever since.
About six months ago, I started a little blog about the stuff I like to make, and shortly after that, started teaching people to sew.
Why Keech? I think it is a brilliant local charity. And I'm a mum to three gorgous little girls who make me smile every day. That's enough, reason for me, really. You can read more about the important work Keech does it by clicking on the link.
Every penny of your £10 ticket price you give here will go straight to the charity - plus a bit more if you click the GiftAid option. Bring some nice new socks along to the workshop - and I'll provide all the help, instructions and other bits and bobs you'll need to finish your sock monkey.
A lovely family run Italian restaurant has kindly agreed to host the event, so you'll be able to buy some nice refreshments to keep you going whilst you natter and sew.
