Story
Update 15 September - my Soap Free Month ends at 7pm tonight! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated :-) There's still time to donate if you would like to.
I mentioned at the start that I was doing this for my beloved Jasper, who we adopted from Oldies Club. He very sadly passed away at the weekend, leaving us heartbroken. But we are so blessed to have had the chance to spend the last 20 months with him. My tribute for darling Jasper is here. Thank you for donating to help other older dogs, like Jasper.
Update 31 August - over two weeks into this now and the total is over £538, which is incredible. Thank you all so much! Blockbuster seems to be doing rather well from me at the moment LOL.
Update: 22 August - now 7 days into SoapFreeMonth. Amazed and delighted that you have been so generous and that this page has raised almost £500! Thank YOU for making a difference to an Oldies Club dog, through your donation :-)
Update 17 August - WOW, thank you everyone who has donated so far. You are all amazing :-) We've already gone over my target, which is fantastic, as the more we raise, the more £ we have to help these lovely old dogs. Thank you!
Update 16 August - thank you SO much to everyone who has donated so far. Soap Free Month started yesterday! The more £ raised, the more there is to help the older dogs in Oldies Club care, so please make a donation if you can. Thank you :-) Angela

Hello, I'm Angela, a fundraiser for Oldies Club, a UK charity which rescues and rehomes older dogs, aged 7+.
If you arrived at this page feeling disgusted that I am planning not to wash for a month, you will be relieved to hear that is not the case!
I confess ... I am a bit <cough> of a soap addict. As in those blimmin depressing, shouty, repetitive TV programmes that appear every night. I am sure that they are not particularly good for my health, but I just can't help watching them!
Well now I need your help to stop. Please make a donation to Oldies Club via this page. Once donations reach £99 I will stop watching any Soaps for a month. In return, you will gain the warm, fuzzy feeling of knowing that you have contributed towards helping the wonderful dogs in Oldies Club care :-)
I have tried to stop watching soaps in the past, but not really managed more than a few days and even then I sneak-watch bits of programmes. So this challenge will make sure I can't quit!
I am doing this for Jasper, the gorgeous boy featured in the photo with me, who was saved by Oldies Club on New Year's Eve 2009, after being taken to the vets to be put down! He came to us as an emergency foster and never left :-) I am doing it for all the other oldies who come into the charity's care. Its vet bills are huge - last week alone, vet bills exceeded £2378. That's a LOT for a small charity run solely by volunteers.
Please consider making a donation today - every penny will be VERY gratefully received and really will make a difference to the oldies! Thank you so much. Feel free to share the link to this page on your facebook page, twitter account etc.
Oh and if anyone has any TV viewing recommendations for 7pm onwards, during the week, do let me know! :-) I may never find out what happens to Max and Tanya, but an older dog will be happier for it :-)
