We train village and slum-based teenagers to be catalysts for change in Uganda

Story

The Slum Run was set up in 2012 by Francis Ssuuna, a member of the Butterfly Project, which teaches young people to be social entrepreneurs.  17 at the time, Francis is now 20 and wants to use the money raised to set up an athletics NGO in Kampala, which will give children with athletic potential a chance to run regularly at the nearby national athletics stadium and become future Olympians, like Stephen Kiprotich, who has inspired so many in the athletics club, known as Project Circulate.

The money raised will also help these children with their school requirements and fees and help them with their training as athletes by providing running shoes, vests etc.
