Members of The British Adaptive Ski Team, are entering the BUPA Great Run to raise money for their charity and raise awareness for their sport.
Can you imagine what it's like to race in a Downhill....without being able to see where you are going? That's what Steve MacDonald and Kevin Alderton do (Kev. holds the blind skiing record too at 100+mph).
What's it like doing a Slalom course on one leg? Ask Chris Clarke, Dave Tweed or Dave Paige. Or skiing on a prosthetic limb - try Liz Miller, she'll tell you all about that, and about her top ten finish at this years Winter paralympics
How about doing a SuperG strapped into a fibreglass bucket seat, riding on one ski eight inches above the snow? Double paralympian Russell Docker can fill you in there, as can Talan Skeels-Piggins and our ace female mono-skiers Joe Willoughby and Caroline Darke.
Now imagine what it is like racing for the first time....Tim Farr and Craig Wiltshire will be finding out about that soon and James Church will be trying out for the team this November.
This year one of our racers, Sean Rose, was half a second away from Paralympic silver. Please help us do better next time - we need your support.
The money you raise for us on this site will go towards getting more disabled people into racing, paying for top class coaching and generally helping our athletes to compete in one of the most challenging and competitive arenas.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The British Adaptive Ski Team will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now! We know how to ski, but running for us is something else...

Many thanks for your support.
