A BIG THANK YOU FROM THE HALLEY TEAM FOR SUPPORTING OUR QUEST TO REACH THE SOUTH POLE!
Well, 2 days after the event and we all seem to be pretty much standing...just!! We had a really successful day on Sunday - it was quite cold, probably about - 15 degrees and a little cloudy but we were treated to a spectacular sunset to keep us going on those last laps which was simply stunning!
Although we didn't quite make it to the Pole we did manage an incredible 214 laps which is 1070km in 12 hours so very pleased! We had people running, kiting, walking, skiing as well as a team pulling a sledge round with much welcomed refreshments!
We would really like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and for their sponsorship - the RNLI really is a very special charity which relies completely on voluntary donations so thank you!
If you have not yet sponsored us, you still can! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks once again for your support.
