Hi guys

I'm sure that many of you are aware that we are all travelling around south America right now. Currently we are in La Paz Bolivia. We have been attempting many crazy activities but this one is a monster.

On Monday we are planning to climb Huayna Potosí mountain just outside La Paz. Huayna Potosí is over 6000m high and it takes 3 days to reach the summit, the trek includes crossing a glacier, avoiding crevasses and completing a 30m ice climb. Only 40% of people make the summit due to the affects of the altitude, however we are highly confident!

We have all been talking about how it would be great to give something back to the communities of the areas we have visited. And I thought this would be the best opportunity. Bolivia is the poorest country in South America and suffers from extreme weather and many social problems, one result of these problems is a large number of children living on the street, these children often have drug addicted and abusive parents.

We are hoping you will all help us raise £1000 for our chosen charity; Friends of Alalay. Wills sister, Milly, is currently the highest fundraiser for this charity with £1050 donated! it would be fantastic if we could beat her. Here is a short explination of what Alalay do:

"Alalay rescues children from the streets and offers them a loving environment living together in family cabins; feeds, clothes and educates them and encourages them in their future working lives. The name ‘Alalay’ was chosen by the street children themselves and means ‘I am cold’ in the native language."

This climb is going to be incredibly challeging and its possible that we may not make the summit. It will help us all to know that you are giving up your hard earned cash for an extremely worthy cause! Your money is the motivation that will get us to the top.

This has been a massively last minute decision and we only have 2 days to raise this money, so please dig deep!

Thanks for taking to time to read this and donate.
