Glutton for punishment or just plain mental - you decide!
Fresh from the heady success of the Island Survival Challenge I have decided to sign up for the Anthony Nolan Trust ARCTIC Survival challenge which is 8 days in February 2009 (best in the coldest part of the winter - summer would be just too easy!!). This one involves the delights of ice fishing, building shelters in sub-zero temperatures and spending a night in a self dug snow-hole - sounds cosy! You know how I hadn't been camping before the island challenge - well this for me is far worse as I really hate the cold!!
why am I doing it? Thats the easy bit - The money raised will be helping towards saving the lives of many many children and young adults dying from Leukaemia. So Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
The Anthony Nolan Trust has offered the gift of life to over 1500 children and young adults over the last 5 years, whose only hope of survival was a bone marrow transplant. They receive no government funding and rely solely on public donations raised through sponsored events like this.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Anthony Nolan Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
