Story
I'm cycling from Provence to Petworth to raise money for the James Atkinson Bequest. Whilst this is shorter the the UK ride a few years ago, the UK doesn't have any Alps. Starting out in Provence, there is no alternative but to go over the Alps, something that I'm a little scared about.
Once that part is over, there's just the small matter of the rest of the 1000km+ trip back to England at around 70 miles a day. And what's more we'll have to cycle past hundreds of vinyards without stopping. So it'll be a challenge both physically and mentally.
To be serious for a moment, lots of hard work has been put into organising this ride (not by me) and many hours have been put in out in the wind and rain or sat in a boring gym to prepare, and the two causes mean a huge amount to a lot of people. If you can find it in you to make a small donation, it would be greatly appreciated.
The school in Nalango is also a wonderful cause, and if you would rather give money to that, there are links from the group page which this one is associated with. This isn't about me getting the highest total, it's about raising as much money as possible for two great causes in memory of two great guys. So thank you for visiting my page, and thanks even more if you make a donation.
