We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

I’m honoured to be part of the team forty by forty in which 39 other runners and I are aiming to raise £40,000 as a team for Alzheimer’s Research UK by running the Great North Run 2019, which is the worlds largest half marathon.

There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK at present, this is expected to be over 1 million within the next 5 years.

1 in 6 people over the age of 80 have dementia and 70% of people in care homes suffer severe memory problems.

Please dig deep, anything you donate on the page will contribute to the overall target which you can see on our team page.
