Fundraising for Prostate Action
Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
This was my 3rd season competing in aid of Prostate UK in various rowathlons (row, bike, run) and duathlons, culminating in the "Rower's Revenge" at Marlow on 4 October '09. The scores were:
Duathlon at Castle Combe Race Circuit on 1 March 2009 - 2 mile run, 10 mile cycle, 2 mile run. This year's result was 58:17.05 - a 1.30 improvement on last year.
Rowathlon at Mallory Park on May 4, 2009 - 2.5km row, 20km row, 5km run. This year's result was 1:20.23 - 1.10 slower than last year- gained 2.05 on the run, but lost 4.15 on the bike. Howling headwind, and did 11 instead of 10 laps of the park... 4mins of extra pain!
Pants in the Park on 21 June, 2009 - 5km charity run for Prostate UK in London's Battersea Park - my time: 0:21.26 (just pipped my 2006 time by 0.24 - must be getting younger).
Rowers' Revenge Rowathlon on 4 October 2009 - 4km row, 23.4km bike, 7.15km run. I kindly stopped twice to help a road crew replace a manhole cover for a time of 1:39:59 (incl. 2 mins credit for the stops), or 57th overall, 11th in M40-49.
