A university education is something that changes many people's lives, but the cost of studying is something that many students cannot afford without support from family. Families can struggle to provide this support, leading to students dropping out or never attending uni in the first place.

Scholarships and Sheffield university's emergency fund are an important lifeline to allow students to study without financial worry.
