Story
The Vatternrundan is a non-competitive overnight event (or as the Swedes call it, a ‘motionslopp’) over a 300km (186 miles) course in one of the most breathtaking areas of Northern Europe. Tracing the shores of the spectacular Lake Vättern in Sweden the ride is open to riders over the age of 18 of all abilities and last year attracted 21,000 participants.
And this year on the night of 17 June I'm joining them!
I'm riding for Cyclists Fighting Cancer - a charity whose purpose is to provide bikes, adapted tricycles and equipment to children and young people whose lives have been affected by cancer.
