As a student studying Primary Education, I am passionate about education for people of all ages. Many children all around the world aren’t as lucky as others and aren’t able to complete important schooling in which they learn skills that we take for granted such as reading and writing. I plan to change this for some of these children. 

BuildAfrica is an organisation that builds schools and supplies necessary resources to schools in Kenya and Uganda. The funding they receive is put towards these projects and used for not only building the schools, but giving local villagers a chance to earn more than they usually would farming, by paying them to construct the building. This is great because not only are they earning money to support their families, but it becomes ‘their’ school, rather than something that was given to them.

Through out 2013 and 2014 I plan to hold a series of concerts, showcasing various acts, in order to raise enough funding to build one of these schools in Africa. 

This is a large project in which around $30,000 is needed in order for the school to be built. So, I need as much help as I can get to be successful and give these children the education they deserve!
