Story
Well, hello there! Thanks for stopping by.
As you probably already know, Childline is really important to me, and it does an amazing job of supporting young people with all kinds of worries. So, to help raise some much needed funds I'm taking part in a sponsored walk in support of our local base in Nottingham.
The event on Sat 10th September will involve a faintly ridiculous 21-mile walk around Rutland Water. This has the saving grace of being largely flat, with the added delight of seeing a half-submerged church part way around.
It would be great if you could pledge your support towards my efforts, and help ChildLine to continue to reach out to those young and vulnerable people who so desprately seek our help. Our base managed over 17,000 counselling interaction last year, and we still didn't quite meet the demand. Your money will help train the 50 new volunteer counsellors we need to provide these children with a voice they simply wouldn't otherwise have.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. They’ll even reclaim the Gift Aid, so that even more money makes its way to the NSPCC.
So please dig deep and donate now. Meeting my target of £250 would allow us to counsel over 60 callers, and every little helps. Thanks!
