Story
Hi, Staff Sergeant Anya Beeforth here. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
As you know I hoped to raise considerable funds for Help For Heroes by embarking on a 500 mile enforced march from Poland to Fallingbostel, Germany. The journey has now been completed and I wish to say a huge thank you to my husband, Craig Beeforth and Jen and Tony Armstrong who completed the journey with me. Their spirit, dedication and laugh a minute sense of humours made it an extremely memorable event and I am proud of them. I also wish to thank Sgt Simon Teasdale and Cfn Kieron Muckley whose support throughout the march went beyond the call of duty. Thanks guys. My thanks also goes to Mrs Lyn Jones who will be glad of the rest, now the event is over. Thanks Lyn, for everything.
I would also like to thank 2 CS Bn REME and staff of the Army Welfare Service, Hohne, who made our return a day to remember. It was unexpected and extremely humbling to be welcomed home in the manner that we were.
My next thanks go to all of the people who kindly donated time and money to either this site or the other events that took place. You have been extremely generous and I am grateful to you all. For those who have not yet had the opportunity, the site will remain active until 26 May 09, so get giving and help our forces.
My final thanks goes to all our veterans both past and present. The courage, bravery and sacrafices that you have made should never be forgotton. You have done us all proud. May your future tours be safe one's, and in the words of an old vet..."May your Red Cross parcel always be full".
