Story
The 2010 sheepasalamb.com challenge is announced - 2 team members, 2 marathons, 2 weekends - London & Brighton Marathons! (obviously only one marathon each!!)
After triathlons, hill climbing and cycling, I decided it was time to tackle a challenge with my least favoured discipline - RUNNING!
And in the true stlye of sheepasalamb, if you are going to do a run, it may as well be a marathon, and if you are going to do a marathon, it surely has to be London!
Unsurprisingly, most members of the sheepasalamb team appear happy to sit back and support on this one, so the team actually completing the event is somewhat depleted, i.e. only Joan, supported by Eain willing to give it a go(maybe due to the lack of beer drinking opportunities, and a significant increase in the amount of dedicated training - who knows??)
Unfortunately, Eain was unsuccessful in applying for London, so rather than wait and try again in 2011, he decided to run the Brighton Marathon on the previous weekend.
As you may or may not know, neither Joan or Eain are particularly recognised as international running superstars, and with only a handful of 10Km events between them to date, this really is going to be the toughest sheepasalamb challenge to date.
As usual, we are trying to raise some cash for Cancer Research UK for our endeavours, so please do sponsor our challenge.
Once again, please log onto www.sheepasalamb.com to follow my blog, see photos and reminisce of previous sheepasalamb challenges!!
Thank you all for your support......
