Story

It has been quite some time since Pete and I rode to Paris and we have been waiting to hear the news of a further donation from my employer,Archant Print. After a meeting with the companies charity awards commitee Ride4Ruby has been given a fantastic donation of £1271.11!! This is half of the original monies raised by Pete and I during the ride, making our grand total £3813.11. It really is a wonderful gesture and on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust I whole heartedly thank Archant for their kind donation.

Hi, and thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

Cystic Fibrosis is a condition that affects the salt and water movement about the  body, this in turn makes it difficult to digest food and for the sufferers lungs to be clear from fluids. Treatment consists of daily physiotherapy, food enzyme supplements and a high fat content diet. At the moment Ruby enjoys her life with the unbound energy that all children of her age should have. Ruby has Cystic Fibrosis.

Unfortunately some children with the condition are not as well, and suffer terribly with the illness. At present there is no cure, but life expectancy of sufferers has risen over the years. The continued search for a cure cannot go ahead unless adequate funding is available; so on Thursday 21st July Peter ( Ruby's Dad) and I  are cycling from London to Paris in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Please donate as much, or as little as you can to help find the cure.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cystic Fibrosis Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!
