We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

In 2014 I successfully cycled solo and unsupported from Lands End to John O'Groats raising just over £4000 for Cancer research.    I thought it would be a shame not to make it up to a round £5k so I needed another challenge to take on.   I have decided to take on one of the toughest one day cycle events this country has to offer.   Along with 900 other maniacs I will attempt to cover the 150 miles from coast to coast between Seascale to Whitby on the 27th June 2015.   The ride is made even more tough by adding in over 15000ft of climbing including the highest and hardest climb in the British Isles.   This is a massive challenge and will require even more of a training effort than Land End John O'Groats did.   I have long way to go before I am in good enough shape to take this event on -completing the ride in under 12 hours is considered to be a good time, last year the last man home came in at over 30 hours(I hope to beat that!)   In all honesty just completing this ride will be an achievement in itself but I hope to do it as quick as I possible can.

I will again be blogging about my efforts and will share my JustGiving page wherever I can.   The support I had last year for LeJog was simply astounding and I certainly do not want to continually hassle people for money so if you think what I am doing deserves contribution then it will be very much appreciated - If you do not want to donate then do not worry - I am sure this will not be the last chance you get!
