As a volunteer for the Pearl Daisy-Smiles Better event, I am helping to raise funds for the Smiles Better campaign, which helps to raise awareness of those who have suffered from acid violence. Please read my story and donate.

 

Islamic Help is pleased to announce a special fundraiser in aid of the Smiles Better Campaign.

The Pearl Daisy Fashion Experience

Hundreds of women, men and children are attacked by acid throughout the world, the survivors are often left without eye sight let alone a smile. And this is why Pearl Daisy Ltd has joined forces with Islamic Help to try and support the acid attack survivors under the banner of the Islamic Help Smiles Better Campaign.

Although acid attacks are not gender specific it is estimated that approximately 80% of all acid attack survivors are women. 

We have put together a unique array of fashion, beauty, and entertainment to celebrate the empowerment of women in the UK. But more importantly we have put this event together to not only raise awareness about acid violence and the Smiles Better Campaign but more so to raise vital funds for the Campaign.

Join us on the 26th May 2012 in Birmingham and 2nd June in London, and take part in what is to be a night to remember!

All funds raised will go towards providing corrective surgery, rehabilitative support and livelihood projects for the acid attack survivors in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Nepal, Pakistan and Uganda.
