Story
Eating disorders affect 1.1million people in the UK alone. There is limited treatment, not enough awareness, and stereotypes still exist. Having suffered from eating disorders, I know how important awareness is, and how little there can be.
Beat is the UKs leading eating disorders charity, supporting both sufferers and carers, as well as seeking to raise awareness and change people's perceptions on eating disorders.
This year, during Eating Disorders Awareness Week, 21st-27th February, I am raising money and awareness for eating disorders and beat. On 27th February, I will be swimming in the sea in Norfolk to raise money, so please support both me and beat by giving whatever money you can :)
By the way, as a minor incentive, the sea will be freezing, and I hate the cold so at least you can safe in the knowledge I'll be suffering for your money ;)
